Live Webinar Policies and Procedures

Massage board and accrediting bodies approve and accept live webinars as live hours based on the live webinar being live interactive class between the participants and the instructor.

Attendance and participation are required to receive live webinar class credit.  While we do know that unfortunate circumstances happen, we are not able to provide technical assistance or provide CE credit, class credit, transfer registrations or refunds if you are unable to participate in the class (including hands on participation with volunteer bodies) after the 30 day cancellation cutoff date. 

The live webinar is held at a set date and time and has to be attended by the participant live on the zoom platform. The required equipment is a webcam and live audio. This is usually accomplished by using a lap top with an integrated camera and microphone. A desktop computer can be used with an external microphone and web camera. 

It is the participants responsibility to have the necessary equipment, internet access and technical skills to participate in the live webinar on the zoom platform. 

The zoom link is emailed within 7 days of the scheduled class date. 

Attendance and Credit

Attendance for the entire class is required to receive credit. In order to be counted as present for the class, you must be present and visible participating on live video and audio. 

· Turning off your camera or loosing signal will require a removal from the class 

· Not being visible on the camera will require a removal from the class

· Class participation and attention is required. Participants displaying a lack of participation and attention to the class will be removed from the class. Examples include but not limited to: multi tasking, cooking, driving, doing other tasks, talking on the phone, watching tv, wondering in and out of the video field, ignoring the class, doing a massage, and taking a nap. 

Techniques Live Webinar

Respectful attention and participation with live audio and video for the entire class will be considered full attendance. Techniques classes require TWO practice bodies. The bodies can be any adult size body willing to volunteer to be worked on for about an hour. The class instructor will provide instructions when the volunteers need be present in the class.
